A heart attack occurs when the blood and oxygen fail to reach the heart, as a result of a narrowing or blocking of the arteries. It can be triggered by excess weight, stress, high blood pressure or diabetes. Recent studies have shown that shingles also increases the risk of heart attack and the risk of stroke.
