Barbecued And Grilled Meat May Lead To High Blood Pressure    




The High Temperature Could Release Substances That Induce Oxidation, Inflammation Or Insulin Resistance    




Research has shown that cooking meat at high temperatures can form substances that are potentially cancerous. A recent study is also linking cooking meat at open flame or high temperatures to a higher risk of developing high blood pressure. This does not mean that eating meat will lead to hypertension, but the way of cooking it, which includes grilling, broiling, roasting, and barbecues. Even though the causes are not clear, grilling meat may cause the formation of chemicals that induce oxidative stress, inflammation, and insulin resistance.
