Study: Hair Loss Medication Minoxidil Improves Blood Flow And Cognitive Functions

It Adds Elasticity To Blood Vessels, Lowering Blood Pressure

According to recent research, a popular hair loss medication can help with the cognitive function. Minoxidil, a drug applied to the scalp to delay hair loss, and help with hair growth. If taken orally, it has beneficial effects on the blood flow to the brain, lowering blood pressure and increasing elasticity in blood vessels. The drug has a positive effect on elastin, a protein that adds flexibility to blood vessels. Lack of it reduces blood flow and increases the risk of a cardiovascular condition and heart attack. Minoxidil has a mechanism which allows potassium to exit the cells in the blood vessels, contributing to improve the flow. Additional information click here.
