Study: Loneliness Can Increase The Risk Of A Heart Attack

According to a study, isolation, loneliness and a state of unhappiness can increase the risk of a heart attack. The cause is that loneliness increases blood pressure and cholesterol levels. This gets worse since social media keeps people connected, but physically alone. The study showed that social isolation and loneliness increased the risk of heart attack more than 6% and the risk of stroke by more than 4%.
